Should 401(k) savers have access to private equity funds?

Booth’s Steven Neil Kaplan, the Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance and Kessenich E.P. Faculty Director at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, discusses allowing individual retirement accounts to invest in private equity markets, as the presidential administration aims to make it easier to add private equity investments to 401(k) accounts.
