
Harper Court Ventures Launches with $25M to Support UChicago Startup Ecosystem
Harper Court Ventures, a $25 million deep tech fund managed by MFV Partners, has been launched to support the University of Chicago's startup ecosystem. Aimed at boosting transformative technologies, the fund will invest in early-stage ventures emerging from UChicago labs, alumni, and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Led by Chicago Booth alum Karthee Madasamy, MBA '06, Harper Court Ventures will transform the Midwest's innovation landscape, targeting high-impact fields such as quantum computing, life sciences, energy, and artificial intelligence. Initial investments have been made in UChicago-related companies such as Flow Medical, SimCare AI, and Beacon, which address medical, AI-driven education, and illness prevention challenges. Coupled with UChicago’s strong research infrastructure and partnerships like Deerfield Management and UCM Ventures, Harper Court Ventures marks a significant milestone in scaling breakthrough innovations to address global challenges.
